Furniture Assembly & More
The Woodlands, TX

Expert Assembly Services
I’ve assembled everything you can imagine — from simple shelves to complex play systems, and from single home office desks to multi-desk setups for offices around The Woodlands. Anything from IKEA, Wayfair, or Amazon that shows up in a box — office desks, bed frames, patio furniture, conference tables — I’ll have it built square, solid, and level. No frustration, no missing steps, no afternoon lost to an instruction booklet.

All My Handyman Services
I do a lot more than assemble stuff.
What Happens to the Boxes and Packaging?
Furniture assembly creates a surprising amount of cardboard and packaging. I don’t just leave it for you to deal with — here’s how I can handle it.
Option 1 — Broken down and bagged
I’ll cut the boxes down and whatever fits in your recycle and trash bins goes straight in. For anything that doesn’t fit, I put it in contractor bags. Then you can put a “pink tag” on it, and put it out with your trash on trash day (see my Handyman Tip below).
Option 2 — Township bulky pickup
For larger loads, I can stack everything neatly at the curb and you can schedule a free Bulky/Oversized Collection through The Woodlands Township. Schedule a bulky pickup here.
Option 3 — I haul it away
For an additional charge, I’ll take the boxes and packaging with me when I leave. I’ll make sure the cardboard gets recycled and the everything else gets disposed of properly.
Handyman tip: Most Woodlands homeowners don’t even know about the pink tags. They can be purchased for about $2.00 at Kroger customer service desks in Alden Bridge, Cochran’s Crossing, and Sterling Ridge. They can also be purchased directly from the The Woodlands Township office at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. They’re worth knowing about — any time you have more trash than your bin can hold, a tagged bag goes right out on pickup day. I buy 10 at a time and keep them in my junk drawer at home.

Why Woodlands Homeowners Choose Me
I live around the corner, not in a call center
I live in Panther Creek and work throughout The Woodlands every day. When you hire me, you get someone whose reputation is built right here in this community — not a call center dispatching a stranger you’ll never see again.
Honest Pricing — No Surprises
I charge by the hour with zero material markup. No hidden fees, no inflated parts, no surprises on your invoice.
Built Solid, Not Wobbly
A rushed assembly job leaves you with a wobbly table or a dresser whose drawers don’t sit right. I take the time to square everything up, tighten every fastener, and make sure what I build is solid and safe to use for years — not just until the warranty runs out.
How Much Do Assembly Services Cost?

Transparent, Hourly Pricing
For my customers in The Woodlands and Shenandoah, my rate is $120 per hour, plus a one-time $50 service call fee that covers my travel, insurance, and my fully stocked Ultimate Handyman Trailer. So the first hour comes to $170 total, and after that I bill in 15-minute increments at my hourly rate — you only pay for the time I’m actually working.
And if you need anything else done, feel free to make a list — I can do a lot more than assemble stuff.
Assembly Services FAQs — The Woodlands, TX
What brands and stores do you assemble furniture from?
All of them — IKEA, Wayfair, Amazon, Ashley, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Costco, Sam’s Club, and anything else that shows up in a box. If it came with an instruction booklet, I can build it.
Can you help with office furniture assembly?
Yes. I regularly assemble desks, chairs, and filing cabinets for home offices and businesses throughout The Woodlands. If you’re just moving into your space, I can help with hanging pictures too.
Do you assemble home gym equipment like treadmills and weight benches?
Yes. Treadmills, weight benches, squat racks, cable machines — this stuff tends to come in heavy boxes with complicated hardware, and I make sure it’s put together correctly so it’s safe to use. You won’t be stuck reading a 40-page manual on your workout day.
Can you disassemble furniture too, not just build it?
Yes. Whether you’re moving, rearranging a room, or need something taken apart to fit through a doorway, I can break it down safely and put it back together on the other end if needed. Fun fact: I actually disassembled a very large Ninja Warrior play system and reassembled it in my own backyard.
Do you serve my village in The Woodlands, TX?
I assemble furniture throughout The Woodlands, including Panther Creek, Alden Bridge, Cochran’s Crossing, Sterling Ridge, Grogan’s Mill, Creekside Park, College Park, Indian Springs, Town Center, and Shenandoah.
What is your hourly rate and how does billing work?
For customers in The Woodlands and Shenandoah, my rate is $120 per hour, plus a one-time $50 service call fee that covers my travel, insurance, and my fully stocked Ultimate Handyman Trailer. So the first hour comes to $170 total, and after that I bill in 15-minute increments at my hourly rate — you only pay for the time I’m actually working.
Do you charge a markup on materials or parts?
If materials are needed, I stop at the store on the way, show you the receipt, and add the exact cost to your invoice. What I paid is what you pay. Not a penny more.
Do you have a minimum charge for very small, single tasks?
Yes. My rate is $120 per hour, plus a one-time $50 service call fee — that puts the minimum at $170 for the first hour. Because of this, I always encourage my customers to make a list before I arrive. You’d be amazed how much I can knock out in an hour. See everything I do here.
How do I schedule service?
It’s best to text me directly at 281-827-2614. During regular business hours I’m usually working in someone’s home. And when I’m on their clock, I want to be respectful of their time. And after business hours, I’m at home with my family. So unless you happen to call me when I’m between jobs, I typically don’t pick up my phone.
Are you insured?
Yes. I carry a $1M/$2M general liability insurance — so you’re covered no matter the job.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. I only take jobs that I’m qualified for and have a lot of experience with, so I rarely get callbacks — but if something I did caused a problem, I come back fast and make it right. In my 10 years of doing this, I’ve only had to make one insurance claim.
Can you provide references?
Absolutely, I’d be happy to put you in contact with any of my customers (subject to their approval first of course). But you can also just google “Adam Taylor the Handyman” and read my reviews. I have over 100 5-star reviews and every one of them came from a neighbor just like you.
