Meet Adam Taylor: The Woodlands’ Most Trusted Handyman
Former Environmental Geologist

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin in 2000. For 16 years, I worked as an environmental geologist, but I’ve always had a love for tools, helping people, and solving problems. So, in 2016 I decided to quit my office job and start working for myself. And let me tell you, it was the best decision I ever made.
I know how to fix stuff

After college, my wife and I moved to the west side of Houston, and in 2017, Hurricane Harvey flooded our neighborhood (that is my former house in the pic). Thanks to my handyman skills, I was able to put the house back together so we could move on with our lives. In 2023 we sold that house and moved to The Woodlands. Yay!!! No more flooding!
Vintage 1984 taught me a lot

In 2023 we bought our house in Panther Creek (it’s on top of a hill…). Everything in it was vintage 1984. So we completely gutted it, moved some walls, moved a staircase, added a laundry room, and a really nice covered back porch. We ran into lots of surprises along the way, but thankfully, we were able to solve them all. And now, Panther Creek is where we call home. As for the Woodlands? That’s my office.
The Perks of Hiring a One-Man Show (With Tools)
I live around the corner, not in a call center

I live in Panther Creek and work throughout The Woodlands every day. When you hire me, you’re getting someone whose reputation is built right here in this community – not a call center dispatching a stranger.
5-star rated by neighbors just like you

When you hire a giant franchise, you’re rolling the dice on who they are going to dispatch to your house. When you hire me, you get the actual business owner. Every review I have, I have personally earned by clearly communicating, showing up on time, and doing exceptional work. You can hire this one-man show with total confidence.
My trailer has everything but the kitchen sink

My custom-built Ultimate Handyman Trailer has a place for everything — and everything is in its place. DeWalt power tools, 23 hand-built drawers, hardware, fasteners, and common replacement parts. Name a tool. It’s in my hand in five seconds.
No job is too small (Seriously, Try me)

No job is too small. One picture to hang, one fan to replace, one piece of furniture to assemble — I’ll come out for it.
LICENSED, INSURED, & HELD ACCOUNTABLE

We Bought a House. Then We Cut It in Half.

Our Farmhouse – 2019
In 2019 my wife saw this little house in downtown Grapeland, TX, and she fell in love with it. It was abandoned, but still in pretty good shape. Somehow, she tracked down the owner and convinced them to sell – just the house, not the land it sat on!

Our Farmhouse – 2020
After we bought the house, we had to get it onto our property, 13 miles away. But to get it down the narrow county road, we had to cut it in half. It seemed crazy at the time!

Our Farmhouse – 2026
But here’s the funny thing, once it was cut in half, my eyes opened up and I had a vision! I said to my wife, “let’s set the two halves down 20 feet a part and build in the middle!” And that’s exactly what we did.

Our Farmhouse – The Living Room
We sourced matching century-old wood for the walls and floors, built the fireplace from scratch, and tracked down 100-year-old windows to restore and install. Every detail was intentional.

Our Farmhouse – Furnished
For furnishings, we were able to use many of my wife’s grandmother’s pieces. My wife literally drooled on that very same coffee table when she was a little girl.

Our Farmhouse – The Kitchen
This is the kitchen my wife always dreamed of. Vintage stove, farmhouse sink, soapstone counters, and scalloped cabinets (her design touch).
Ready to get started?

During regular business hours I’m usually working in someone’s home. And when I’m on their clock, I want to be respectful of their time. And after business hours, I’m at home with my family. So unless you happen to call me when I’m between jobs, I typically don’t pick up my phone.
The best thing to do is shoot me a text with your name, village, and what you need, and I’ll get back to as soon as I can.
No matter what village you live in, I’ve got you covered.
